We would like to invite you to a ground breaking and blessing ceremony for a new Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Tribal Headquarters in Durant. The event is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Thursday March 10, located at 2364 Big Lots Pkwy in Durant. Shuttle busses will be available at the Choctaw Nation Event Center located at 3702 Choctaw Road, beginning at 1 p.m.
The new 500,000-square-foot facility will consolidate over 30 Choctaw Nation offices scattered across Durant and will have outdoor architecture featuring a pond and walking track. The building will also showcase culturally significant artwork and symbolism.
In addition to the main building, the complex will be home to a data center, conference center with cafeteria, and a 765-space parking garage. It is expected to be complete by the end of 2017.
